Driver Referral Bonus
Any contractor/lease operator referring a qualified driver to the Recruiting department will receive $1,000.00 bonus under these guidelines:
- The candidate must meet Company/DOT qualifications, complete orientation, be employed/leased and complete first dispatch.

Electronic Funds Transfer
Electronic Funds Transfer is made available for your settlement to be transferred directly into your personal checking account, via your Comdata Card. Allow 3 to 4 weeks for setup.

Free Inspections
Texas Star Maintenance Department will inspect your tractor every 120 days and annually at no cost.
|

Fuel Program
A fuel card program is available to all our independent contractors. Fuel purchases will be deducted out of weekly settlements.
- On Road Fuel - Point of sale fuel discounts, which is the same price the individual companies pay for on the road fuel, is available to independent contractors at over 3,000 locations. Texas Star will furnish a fuel statement on settlements to owner operator.

National Tire Account Program
National account tire pricing has been established for the owner-operator at the same after market price available to an Epes Carriers subsidiary.

Allows you to bypass scales in the states that have on with Pre Pass. Pre Pass keeps you rolling down the road, rather than waiting in line at the scale.

Rider Program
A Year Around program designed for drivers and passengers that meet requirements
Driver Requirements:
- Employed/Leased as a full-time OTR driver for 30 days.
NOTE: May have only one passenger at a time. Spouse/Passenger Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- DOT, Texas Star and customer policies and procedures that pertain to passengers must be obeyed at all times.
- May not operate, maintain, connect or disconnect any company and/or leased equipment.
- May not assist in loading, unloading or securing cargo.
- Must wear safety restraints at all times while equipment is in motion.
- Persons seeking passenger authorization who are under doctor’s care for ongoing medical conditions will be required to provide medical clearance prior to authorization
Additional insurance coverage on the passenger must be obtained before authorization is given at $24.00 per calendar month. |

Epes Carriers makes available a scholarship award to deserving children of Epes Carriers Subsidiary employees and independent contractors.. Application is made in essay form and student must be a recent high school graduate.
